I am the International Programme Coordinator at a school in Madrid, Spain. We have been sending our groups of kids for five years in a row to Athlone for a period of time that varies between eight and ten weeks. Over the last four years, Shannon Academy, directed by Ms Caoimhe O’Connell, has taken care of putting together exceptional programmes year after year.

Such programmes include the organisation of the host families, schools for the kids to have a proper English immersion and great activities every Saturday to enjoy what Ireland offers.

Our students live a positive experience based on trustworthy and loving families who look after them as if they were their own children. They are only twelve years old, and they feel at home amongst these local families.
And the most important thing for a programme like this is that Ms Caoimhe O’Connell is 24 hours on call, and she is always there to help when needed.

I just want to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU FOR SUCH A GREAT JOB!!!

Having worked alongside Shannon Academy for years, I am happy to say that this organisation has my complete trust. The educational programmes they offer are of a high-quality standard in terms of the academic side, accommodation and welfare support to the student.

For me, one of Shannon Academy’s best values is that all their staff are always willing to help when a problem arises, which contributes to making the agent’s work easier.

In particular, for those students going on long-term stays, Shannon Academy gives them the close support when help is needed in order to adjust to a new life abroad, and they always try to accommodate each student’s needs.

Finally, on a personal level, I would also like to praise the human qualities of all the Shannon Academy team – this is a very important asset in their daily work.
